The answer is with care and a state of the art booster system which means wi-fi penetrates every one of the 175 bedrooms at Mercure Dunkenhalgh Hotel and Spa plus the conference and banqueting suites.
“Wi-fi can be problematic in domestic situations, let alone a large building like this where the walls can be several feet thick,” says manager Ivan Lynch who took specialist advice on how best to ensure the net wasn’t snagged by the kind of historic features that usually prove so attractive.
“We’ve spent around £40,000 on the hi-tech booster technology which we’re confident will give a robust signal anywhere in the hotel.”
With more people needing access to the internet around the clock, The Dunkenhalgh Hotel can now be sure they’re offering the best service possible to their guests.
