ACCRINGTON author Jeanette Winterson has been named on the judging panel for The Observer Ethical Awards.
Dubbed the 'Green Oscars', the ceremony is one of the highlights of the eco-friendly calendar.
The awards honour the work of those who make ethical living accessible and championing social justice.
Joining the 51-year-old, famous for her debut novel Oranges Are Not The Only Fruit, will be actor Colin Firth, super-model Lily Cole, scientist Brian Cox, TVpresenters Kate Humble and Ben Fogle, conductor John Elliot Gardiner and comedienne Sue Perkins.
