BURNLEY Wood’s neighbourhood policing team delivered a crime prevention talk to an over 50’s club.
PCSOs Bill Ogden and Cathy Clough attended the lunchtime event at the Woodman Hotel, using the meal as an opportunity to drive home safety messages.
The duo also talked about the work being done to address underage drinking and encouraged people to take action to reduce the risk of being caught by bogus callers.
Speaking after the event, PCSO Bill Ogden said: “We were pleased to be invited to the lunch and it was lovely to meet everyone and give them an update on what we are doing to tackle crime and disorder in the area.
“As they say, there is no such thing as a free lunch so while we there we took the opportunity to talk to residents and give out crime prevention information.”
