BOSSES at a garden centre in Burnley are bidding to create a caravan park for 200 vehicles in a bid to boost trade.
Unused land at Pendle View, on Ightenhill Park Lane, could be used for the expansion, according to plans submitted to Burnley council.
While land to the left of the garden centre is used for retail and display areas, the open nursery to the right of the site is currently empty.
The caravans compound would be surrounded by a two-metre-high close-boarded fence with locakable security gates.
Under the scheme the first floor of the potting shed there will be used as offices in association with the new caravan business.
