The top 10 curry houses as chosen by readers of the Lancashire Telegraph that have made an awards shortlist can be revealed.
The Best Curry Houses competition asked readers to nominate their favourite establishments for the much-loved cuisine, and you didn’t disappoint, with nominations flying in.
We have collated the votes and whittled them down to a top 10 that received the most nominations and have made the final shortlist.
Over the coming days, readers will be able to vote for their favourite restaurants by picking up a paper copy of the Lancashire Telegraph, with the winner announced next month.
Those in the running for the Lancashire Telegraph Best Curry House title are:

- Balti Stan, in Whalley Road Clayton-le-Moors
- Freya’s Grill in Duckworth Street, Darwen
- Jaipur Indian Restaurant in Burnley Road, Padiham
- Kebabish Original in Whalley New Road, Blackburn
- Saffron Street in King William Street, Blackburn
- Spice Garden Blackburn in Redlam, Blackburn
- Thira Restaurant in Darwen Street, Blackburn
- Raj Indian Cuisine & Lounge in Bolton Road, Blackburn
Over the next 10 days we will be running interviews with each of the eateries so you can learn more about them, their story and why they deserve to take the ‘Best Curry House’ title.

Voting slips will be in paper copies of the Lancashire Telegraph from Monday, October 28, until Friday, November 8, for readers to cast their votes, after which all votes will be counted and a winner revealed soon after.
