INSPECTORS said Towneley House care home in Todmorden Road, Burnley, has made improvements and is now meeting essential standards.
The Care Quality Commission said after an inspection in February: “We carried out this inspection to follow up progress on compliance actions identified at our last inspection on September 16, 2013.
“On this inspection we found the necessary improvements had been made. People spoken with were satisfied with the service provided...People’s care and support was planned and delivered in accordance with their needs.
“Since our last visit people’s care plans had been updated to provide staff with more detailed information on people’s healthcare needs. There were suitable arrangements in place for the management of medication.
“Staff designated to administer medication had received appropriate training and their competence had been tested to ensure they could handle medicines in line with the home’s policies and procedures.”
