RESIDENTS in Stoneyholme joined forces with Burnley Council's litter team to give their community centre a clean up.
As part of the council's six-week Operation Hotspot campaign in Daneshouse and Stoneyholme, residents, litter team members and council staff worked together to clean up the areas surrounding the Gordon Street Community Centre.
Operation Hotspot aims to tackle littering and fly-tipping in the areas, as well as addressing crime and anti-social behaviour.
Coun Charles Bullas, executive member for the environment, said: "It is encouraging to see residents working with the council to produce a positive result for the local community."
