A MAN was taken to hospital after he crashed his car into a lamppost.
The man had been driving along Whalley Road, Roe Lee, Blackburn when he hit the lamppost which then collapsed onto his car.
The man climbed out of the blue Peugeot 106 GTI before emergency services arrived.
Police and fire crews were called to the scene around 9.30pm yesterday.
Firefighters remained at the scene for 20 minutes whilst they made the vehicle safe.
The man was taken to hospital with a suspected neck injury and a broken arm.
