THE Blackburn Rovers fans group behind protests against the club’s owners and manager is to launch a new membership scheme.
Blackburn Rovers Football Club Action Group currently has no membership structure outside its elected committee.
But in a bid to formalise it, the group will launch a free membership scheme in the next two weeks.
Supporters liaison officer Andy Woods said: “We are trying to get the whole community on board.
“Anyone can become a member and can then get on the committee.
“We already have about 9,000 members unofficially with branches all over the world, including Australia, Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, USA and Scandinavia.
“If we get the membership scheme launched and get 10,000 to 12,000 members signed up we can go to the club and they have to talk to us.”
The group is also looking to set up an open floor question and answer session with new global adviser Shebby Singh in the coming weeks and has set up an away travel scheme.
