MORE than a thousand people watched an extreme daredevil display at Witton Country Park, in Blackburn.
The Extreme Stunt Show featured 2,000-plus horsepower, methanol supercharged monster trucks Extreme and Lil’ Devil, from Channel 4’s Famous and Fearless Arena, and The Extreme Motocross Freestyle Team, flying through the air in death-defying tricks.
Organised by Extreme Events Europe, The Evolution Tour, in Blackburn for the first time, also boasted multiple Guinness World Record holder ‘Jumpin’ Jez Avery, famous for his pro-BMX trial and mountain bike stunts.
An Extreme BMX Freestyle Team showed off their range of tricks, while an Extreme Stunt Team of professional drivers crashed cars, set each other alight, and demonstrated two-wheel driving as seen in the movies.
Stunt co-ordinator Ian Batey said: “It went really well.
We had about 1,200 people turn out.
“I’ve been doing this for 30 years. Everything you say – I’ve had a go at it, but these guys all make me look silly now because the bike lads are so good compared to how I was.
“We’re going to try and come back here next year.”
