A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of possessing ‘bubble’ after a drugs raid at a house in Blackburn.
Officers from the South East Blackburn Neighbourhood Policing Team executed a warrant at a ground floor flat in Rothesay Road, Shadsworth, on Friday.
As police went into the address, they were handed a small bag of mephedrone - the newly upgraded Class B drug also known as ‘bubble’.
A 26-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of possession a Class B drug.
Officers then carried out a search of the property, a small safe and cashbox and a silver Ford Focus. They found some drug paraphernalia.
Community beat manager PC Tom Sanford said: “This came on the back of community intelligence. It shows how important a close link is where we can progress information.”
