THE disappearance of a Blackburn landmark from the town’s skyline is all but complete.
Albion Mill, Ewood, has been demolished over the past four weeks with a six-strong team dismantling the building.
The mill operated as a textile factory from 1856 before closing due to a lack of orders 1975.
The owner, Pendleton Leisure, has not disclosed its intentions for the site.
However, it is understood an inquiry was made to the town hall about a ‘mixed use’ development.
