THE M65 was closed for more than an hour today after a car smashed into the central reservation.
Highways officers closed two lanes on the eastbound carriageway between junctions five and six near Blackburn while they cleared the wreckage following the incident at 11.05am.
Vehicles were allowed to use the hard shoulder before the carriageway was reopened at 12.20pm.
The driver was unhurt in the smash, the Highways Agency said.
