SIXTH form students voted for the first time as the General Election got under way yesterday.
Westholme school girls Nafees Hussain, Rachel Foster and Heena Alli, all 18, above, attended the polling station in Beardwood Humanities School, Preston New Road, around 11.30am.
Prior to yesterday’s vote, the Upper sixth pupils spent the last two weeks researching and debating the manifestos of the three main political parties.
They discussed each political party’s policies to make an informed choice and encouraged everyone to go out and make their vote count.
