THE body of a man has been pulled from the canal in Blackburn this morning.
Emergency services were called to the scene, close to Brown's Timber, Copy Nook, at 2.25am.
The body was spotted lying face down in the water by a man walking along the towpath.
A specialist swift water team from Darwen Fire Service helped recover the body from the Leeds and Liverpool Canal.
A spokesman for Lancashire Constabulary confirmed that a body had been recovered and that investigations were ongoing.
