A double-decker bus carrying majorettes from Blackburn got stuck under a railway bridge.
About 50 members of Shadsworth Beehive Majorettes were travelling home after a competition when the accident happened in Stoke about 6pm yesterday.
Lisa Mariner, who was on the bus when the accident happened, said: “We had just come round a corner and then we hit the bridge.
"There was a really big bang and the bus shuddered.
“One of the girls has gone to hospital with glass in her eye and another with whiplash.
"The rest were all very shaken.
"There were about 50 of us on the bus, with the age ranging from three upwards.
Police said it was a low-speed impact crash so only the front of the bus had hit the bridge: “It managed to reverse out again.”
