A WOMAN was punched in the face when she refused to hand over her mobile phone to a man in the street.
The 23-year-old was walking along Park Lee Road, in the Infirmary area of Blackburn, at around 8.45pm on Sunday.
Police said she was approached by an Asian man who told her to give him her mobile phone.
When she refused to hand it over he punched her in the face.
The woman was badly shaken and taken to the Royal Blackburn Hospital where she was treated for cuts and bruises.
The man is described as 5ft 8in tall, slim, in his early 20s and wearing a white hooded top.
