A FEMALE shop assistant was threatened with a knife by teen robbers.
Police said the blade was thrust towards the woman’s right forearm at the Boozebusters, Wensley Road, Blackburn, at 3.10pm yesterday.
The two raiders then made off with a small amount of cash and cigarettes and were seen to turn left onto Lancaster Road.
Detective Inspector Claire Holbrook said: “This was a cowardly attack on a lady who was working in the shop on her own at the time.
“I am confident that the offenders are either local to the area or have strong local connections and someone in the community will know who they are or will have some information to help with our enquiries.
“Fortunately the lady in the shop was not injured and we are speaking to witnesses and making CCTV enquiries to identify the men responsible.”
Both robbers were described as white, slim, and aged between 16 and 17. One of the men was 5ft 5ins with brown hair and a fringe. He had blue eyes, olive skin and a ‘baby face’. He wore a black scarf covering his face and a dark-coloured hooded top.
The second man was described as 5ft 6ins tall and was wearing a scarf on his face and a light-coloured hooded top.
