THREE men have been arrested after a fight between two groups of men embroiled in what police believe was an ‘ongoing dispute’.
The fight happened in the London Road/ Blackburn Street area of Whalley Range at around 5am on Sunday.
Three men received minor injuries and were treated at the Royal Blackburn Hospital.
The men, aged 21, 23 and 28 were later arrested and released on police bail.
Detective Constable Mike Ingram, of Blackburn CID, said: “Investigations are still ongoing into the incident.
“However, at this stage, it is believed that the disturbance has broken out due to an ongoing dispute between the group and extra patrols have been allocated to the area to prevent any further disturbances.
“We are very keen to speak to anyone who may have any information about what happened at all yesterday and would ask any one who has any information at all to contact myself."
