DIANA Vickers has revealed she plans to move out of home - and has broken up with her boyfriend.

But rubbishing claims that Eoghan Quigg is moving to East Lancashire to be with her, Diana maintained the pair are “just good friends”.

Diana, who was voted of TV talent contest the X Factor at the semi-final stage last week, said she was moving out of Accrington to pursue her musical career in London.

Replying to national newspaper claims that fellow contestant Eoghan was moving to Blackburn to live with her, she said: “Oh my, I love this.

"It’s so funny. Why would he move to Blackburn? I’m moving out on Thursday, and he’s moving to London.

“It’s just rubbish; absolute rubbish.”

Asked why she was moving out of home, she replied: “I don’t want to, but if I want to pursue a career in all this I might have to move to London.”

Diana, who had been studying at Westholme School, also defended her decision to break off her relationship with boyfriend Chris Jones, who is from Accrington.

She said: “We’re just on a bit of a cooling off.

“I’m in London until, Christmas and he lives five hours away.

"I was with him the day I came out and we had a lovely day together but it was sort of like, I’ll see you when I get back.”

When asked if anything was going on with Eoghan, she replied: “No, we’re just really really good friends.

"We’ve grown really fond of each other throughout the competition and that’s it really.

”We’ve been each other’s rock. He didn’t know what to do.

"He was gutted as we said we’d be with each other until the end.”

Diana made the comments during an interview with Century Radio’s breakfast show presenters Ditchy and Salty.
