MUMS and babies took to the streets of Blackburn for the Little Angels fun day yesterday.

The breastfeeding support group held its fourth annual sponsored toddle through the town centre before walking to Corporation Park for a fun day.

Group director Michelle Atkins said: “It was the first time we have had the activities and it was a real success, we had lots of people join us.”

For the first time the not-for-profit group, whose slogan is “making breastfeeding fashionable”, presented awards to mums for their breastfeeding efforts, and to helpers and supporters, such as midwives.
