A Blackburn beauty salon has been crowned East Lancashire’s best beauty salon after a fiercely fought competition between some of the region’s top beauticians.
Where technology is paramount, The Beauty Retreat stays constantly ahead of the curve and tailors each treatment to the specifics of each client.
A total of 10 local salons were chosen by readers as finalists and battled it out for votes across a two-week voting period.
Known for their dermatological facial treatments, the team at the Bolton Road salon focuses on exactly what each person’s skin needs.
Owner Emily Worswick said: “We are absolutely over the moon to have won the award.
“It is an incredible honour, and we are beyond grateful to everyone who supported us. Our clients and community came together in such a wonderful way and the award means the world to us.”
Setting a precedent for always being on the front foot they recently launched a new microneedle treatment which is effective at removing scarring from acne, stretch marks or wrinkles.
After entering the industry at age 15, Emily opened her salon six years later and continued to grow.
She now employs five staff who pride themselves on a high standard of customer care.
Emily added: “We pride ourselves on being at the forefront of new treatments and trends and bringing our clients the latest beauty innovations.
“This recognition feels like a celebration of all the hard work we’ve put into our salon, and it is a testament to the amazing community around us.”
With recent challenges, including the pandemic and cost-of-living crisis, the staff have continued to develop their own skills and continue to apply treatments with the same passion they always have.
“This award is a testament to the amazing community we have around us. Our loyal clients, who voted, shared and cheered us on every step of the way, and they are at the heart of everything we do.
“You have shown us how powerful your support is and we appreciate it more than we can say.”
