A MAN has been charged with conspiracy to murder after being extradited back to East Lancashire from Ireland.
Two men, Suheal Patel and his cousin Sameer Kanwadkar, escaped death by inches after a bullet was fired through the passenger side of the Fiat Punto they were sitting in, in an alleyway behind Accrington Road, Blackburn, 13 months ago.
Craig Monaghan, 23, of Timperley in Manchester, was arrested in Dublin last month in connection with the incident.
He agreed to voluntarily return to the UK on Wednesday after Lancashire Constabulary put an extradition order in place.
Police Officers have travelled to Dublin to facilitate his return to the UK and he has been brought back to Blackburn Police Station where he has been charged.
He will appear before Blackburn Magistrates tomorrow morning. (Friday, April 18) .
Eight men have already been charged with conspiracy to murder and are due to stand trial on June 4 at Preston Crown Court.
