POLICE are investigating after two cars and a van were set alight in Blackburn last night.
The first incident was at the rear of St Phillips Street, in Witton, at about 8.15pm, when a small Ford Transit van was set alight and a man was seen running from the scene.
The second was in Livesey Branch Road at 11.50pm, when a Vauxhall Corsa was totally destroyed and a Ford Fiesta was badly damaged. Both incidents are being treated as suspicious.
Watch manager Lee Garnett said: "Ensure your vehicle is fully secured when left. Deliberate fires can cost lives, and they also put a strain on Fire Service resources that may be required elsewhere."
If you have information that could help the police, call 101.
