WENSLEY Fold Children’s Centre has been described as the ‘heart of the community’ in a ‘good’ Ofsted report.
The centre, in Carnarvon Road, Blackburn, was found to have a welcoming and inclusive centre which parents described as being, ‘the heart of the community’.
Officers said there was a positive, harmonious relationships between centre users demonstrating the high level of tolerance and understanding amongst families of differing backgrounds and ethnicity.
Inspectors found that the services promoted children’s communication and literacy skills, and said the centre had a strong partnership between the on-site nursery and Wensley Fold Church of England Primary School ensuring children are well prepared to make the transition to school.
