ARSONISTS have targeted a new building under construction at a Pendle primary school.
Firefighters were called to Laneshawbridge Primary School in Emmott Lane shortly after 8.45pm on Thursday.
More than 12 roof panels and insulation were set alight in the new school being contructed on the site.
Fire bosses who are treating the blaze as suspicious will now be carrying out further test to see exactly how the fire was started.
Police are also investigating.
The school is continuing to operate normally from its existing building.
