ARSON The burned out interior of the car in Bombay Street, Blackburn
FIREFIGHTERS were called to reports a car was on fire in Bombay Street, Blackburn.
When fire crews from Blackburn arrived on the scene shortly after 1.30am yesterday, they found a black Peugeot 306 car well alight.
The family living in the house closest to the car had to be evacuate from their home after being woken by the fire. The car was severely damaged in the blaze. The cause of the fire is being treated as suspicious.
Police have now launched an investigation into how it was started.
