HOUSEHOLDERS are being warned they face prosecution if they use a ‘man with a van’ to get rid of waste.
Hyndburn Council issued the warning following a number of incidents where letters and parcels were found with the identities of householders at flytipping sites.
Deputy leader of Hyndburn Council Clare Pritchard said; “There have been a number of fly tipping incidents recently and investigations are on-going.
“Householders are required by law to take reasonable care over they waste they produce. If they use an unscrupulous operator they could face prosecution.”
