A 21-YEAR-OLD man who failed to comply with a community supervision order has been jailed for eight weeks.

Blackburn magistrates heard it was the fourth time breach proceedings had been brought against Daniel Rowe and on the last occasion he had been given a final warning and made subject to a suspended prison sentence.

Rowe, of Whitebirk Road, Blackburn, admitted failing to comply with the order and was jailed.

The court heard he had originally been dealt with for stealing a £6,000 Cartier necklace from his father.

He had sold the item to a pawnbroker and his father had been unable to recover it.

Jailing Rowe, the chairman said he had shown a complete disregard for the court order.
