AN EAST Lancashire MP is backing a scheme aimed at helping families struggling with fuel bills.
Rossendale and Darwen MP Jake Berry is backing an initiative from price comparison experts, uSwitch.
The company have launched a service called ‘Send us your bill’, designed to help households without access to the internet find cheaper energy deals.
Consumers who are not able to go online to source accurate and independent information about energy prices are being encouraged to post their latest bills to uSwitch advisor, which will use the information to work out the best deals for residents.
Mr Berry said, “This is a welcome initiative by uSwitch, as it is aimed at helping vulnerable groups.
“It will help particularly the elderly, who only too often miss out on internet energy deals or fall prey to doorstep salesmen.”
To access uSwitch’s postal scheme, send your most recent energy bills to uSwitch — Send Us Your Bill, Floor 2, Centro 3 19 Mandela Street, London, NW1 0DU.
Include your name, address, phone number and postcode.
