A DRUNKEN driver scraped down the side of four parked cars after going to the pub on a Saturday afternoon.
Magistrates heard that the car owners came out and stayed with Simon Catlow until police arrived and he was breathalysed.
Catlow, 42, of Brighton Terrace, Blackburn, pleaded guilty to driving with excess alcohol.
He was banned from driving for 28 months and ordered to pay £1,000 compensation to the four car owners.
Claire Grant, prosecuting, said the incident happened at 4.35 pm on New Bank Road, Blackburn.
The owner of one of the cars heard a noise and looked out to see Catlow’s vehicle slowly scraping along the side of the parked vehicles before coming to a halt.
Michael Blacklidge, defending, said Catlow had walked to the pub and home again but then decided to go for a takeaway.
“For some reason he decided to drive but he doesn’t know why,” said Mr Blacklidge.
