NORTH West Ambulance Service Chief executive, Bob Williams is on Twitter now, offering the public the chance to ask questions.
North West Ambulance Service Chief executive, Bob Williams, will answer questions via Twitter on between 3pm and 4pm giving the public a unique opportunity to ask anything they want over 60 minutes.
The tweet chat is the first of it's kind for the service, who said it was looking at ways of using social media to connect with the public.
Bob will be live online to answer as many questions as he can, via #AskBobW
A spokesperson for NWAS said: “People generally only call an emergency service in situations of panic so don’t have a full understanding of what we do.
"For example, many people don’t realise that calling 999 doesn’t always mean an ambulance response; sometime patients are directed to other places for more appropriate treatment.
"Through this tweet-chat we’re hoping to give the public and our patients the opportunity to speak to someone in the know about anything and everything to do with the ambulance service.”
