Enjoy an Easter treat as the Giant Chester Food, Drink & Lifestyle Festival – the UK’s largest food festival in Spring – celebrates its 11th anniversary.
Chester Racecourse, situated in the heart of the city, will host the exciting event from Saturday, April 7 – Monday, April 9, 2012.
The Roodee will be taken over by more than 130 of the best regional food and drink producers, celebrity chefs, 2,000 campers, an interactive kid’s zone and a lifestyle festival with products for the home and garden.
Food and drink producers will sell everything from chocolate beer, local venison, fine wines, Cheshire fudge, buffalo hot dogs and, of course, Cheshire cheeses.
The festival has a strong family focus – children go free and can enjoy healthy eating workshops from The Academy of Culinary Arts.
The ever-popular chef demonstrations will return, with Simon Rimmer, Andrew Nutter and Michael Caines taking part.
Last year’s CamperFest, which runs alongside the festival, was hugely successful and there will be plenty of activities arranged for campers to make the most of their weekend stay. There is enough space for over 500 campervans and caravans and additional tents.
