AN 86-year-old man crashed his car into the side of an office building in Rossendale this afternoon.
Firefighters said his Citroen Berlingo hit the Holchem Laboratories building after leaving the Haslingden Bypass, missing the property's main gas intake by six inches.
The accident happened at 3.20pm but did not cause any traffic disruptions.
Rawtenstall fire station watch manager Keiran Dobson said the man was not seriously injured.
