CAR owners in Ramsbottom are warned to keep their eyes peeled after vandals severely damaged two vehicles.

A ‘C class’ Mercedes and a Peugeot 207 were damaged when they were parked opposite the junction of Factory Street, near Ramsbottom leisure centre, on Saturday, police said.

The Mercedes was left with circular patterns on the bonnet and boot and deep scratches down the door and wing after being targeted just after 10am.

PC Kevin Day, of Ramsbottom and Tottington police, said: “The damage to these cars must have taken someone at least a minute to do so passers-by may have noticed something and be able to provide us with some information.”
