A FEMALE passenger suffered a broken leg when she was thrown from a car during a road traffic collision in the early hours today.
Four people had to be cut free from a Renault Clio when it crashed into a lamppost in Burnley Road East, Whitewell Bottom, then rolled on its side at around 3.43am.
Fire crews used specialist cutting gear to free the driver and passengers before they were taken to hospital.
Their injuries were not thought to be life threatening. Police are investigating.
