A CHILDREN’S play area in Kelbrook has been reopened.
A small portion of a wall adjacent to Kelbrook Primary School and next to the play area came down before the summer holidays, forcing its closure.
Coun Paul Maskell, chairman of Kelbrook Parish Council, said: “The damage was only the size of a small chair, but it was enough that a child could find their way through.
“Because there was liability, we took the move to close it.”
The play area was closed for around six weeks and an Earby firm carried out the repair work, which has cost the council around £240.
