MOTORISTS are being reassured that there is not a fuel shortage, despite two nearby stations being closed for business last weekend.
The Old Oak filling station, in Hoghton Lane, Hoghton, was due to reopen this week after changing ownership, and will remain under the Texaco name.
The Three Arches filling station, in Feniscowles, Blackburn, is also undergoing a separate change of ownership.
A spokesman for The Three Arches said: “It is coincidental that other filling stations are not selling fuel at the same time as we are.
"This site’s being sold and will fully reopen.”
