A BLACKBURN man has appeared in court charged with sexual activity in the children’s toilets at the town’s library.
John Boyce McKeown, 34, of Ballantrae Road, is accused of entering the toilets, near the library’s children’s section, when he was prevented from doing so by a sexual offences prevention order.
McKeown also faces a further charge of intentionally engaging in sexual activity in the toilets on August 18.
Magistrates at Accrington remanded the defendant in custody until September 29 so that committal papers can be prepared.
