A TRAVEL agent from Nelson won a chance to appear in this summer's biggest hit comedy.

Victoria Hodson, 25, rubbed shoulders with the stars of The Inbetweeners when it was filmed in Magaluf.

She jetted out to the island after she was chosen by Club 18-30 to be an extra in the movie along with 100 other staff from Thomas Cook and Going Places.

Victoria, who works at Going Places in Chancery Walk, Burnley, described the experience as 'amazing'.

She said: "I entered the competition because it seemed like an opportunity I just couldn’t turn down.

"I was in the ‘boat party’ scenes and when I went to see the film on its opening night I managed to catch a good few glimpses of myself.

“All the cast and crew were lovely and I got to meet all four lads. For the whole week I was there we all just hung out together during the day.

“The only thing is we weren’t allowed to take pictures of the cast or scenes, but it was great for me and the company to be involved in something so big.”

The Inbetweeners Movie, which is directed by Ben Palmer, from Cumbria, is a spin-off from the Channel 4 comedy series based around the trials and tribulations of four teenagers Will, Simon, Jay and Neil.

The film follows the hapless pals, played by Simon Bird, Joe Thomas, James Buckley and Blake Harrison, on their first lads holiday to Malia, Crete.

One scene also involves real Burnley fans who sing football chants on the back of a coach. After a long journey to their hotel, Will is asked whether he likes football to which he replies: "Yes, but not Burnley."

The film opened in cinemas last month and has already raked in more than £27million at the box office.
