PENDLESIDE Hospice has received a £13,584 boost from savers with the Marsden Building Society.
The bank donated an average of one per cent of balances of customers with a Pendleside affinity account to the Reedly-based hospice.
The five-figure sum will be used to help the hospice provide care to cancer sufferers and people with life-limiting illnesses.
Hospice fundraising manager Kaye Bartle said: “Marsden Building Society have supported Pendleside Hospice since the charity began in 1988. The affinity account is an excellent idea as it benefits savers as well as a local worthy cause.
“We are very grateful to everyone at Marsden and everyone who has chosen to support Pendleside.”
