POLICE will be stop checking Land Rovers in the Ribble Valley after a spate of high-value car thefts.
A red Land Rover worth £9,500 was stolen from Cold Weather House Farm, Gisburn Road, Blacko.
Thieves stole the pick-up style vehicle, registration YK04 RFJ, overnight on July 19.
And on the same night, thieves stole the bonnet and both doors of a green Land Rover parked in Trapp Lane, Simonstone.
Sergeant Graham Marshall, said: “We have seen a pattern emerging and we will be stopping Land Rovers in the Ribble Valley and asking drivers for documentation to prove that they are the owners.”
