A BEAUTY queen with a talent for boxing is hoping to ‘knock out’ a panel of judges to be crowned this year’s Miss Teen Great Britain.
Since being named Miss Teen Burnley earlier this summer, Sasha Bennington, 15, has been carrying out a range of charity and community work.
The Shuttleworth College pupil, who is also a champion boxer, is hoping her hard work will convince judges to crown her Miss Teen Great Britain.
Her mum Jayne Harris said: “She did the eight-mile Pendleside Hospice Midnight Walk in June and she’s going to help children by giving talks on bullying.
Now she has to get herself noticed more in the community – she’s enjoying the whole experience.”
Earlier this year, Sasha, of Harefield Rise, Ightenhill, was crowned champion in the North West Regional Amateur Boxing Association Finals.
The beauty pageant enthusiast is hoping to compete in next year’s London Olympics.
Sasha will compete against around 60 girls, aged 13 to 18, in the Miss Teen Great Britain Grand Finals, organised by United Kingdom Galaxy Pageants, at The Globe, Blackpool Pleasure Beach, on September 25.
The winner will receive £1,000, beauty products, a photo shoot and an introduction to a top modelling agency.
