THE bedroom of a house was badly damaged after a fire broke out this afternoon.
Nobody was in the house in Waddington Avenue, Burnley, when the blaze started in the first floor room at around 1pm.
Neighbours raised the alarm when they saw smoke coming of out the window and two fire appliances attended.
Fire crews spent around two hours at the scene and said they are treating it as an accident.
