NELSON already has a Regent Street, Park Lane and Bond Street – but now it’s set to become a giant Monopoly board.
Brierfield artist Roger Hesketh is looking for ideas to portray the town on a Monopoly board to be transported on a tricycle in an Art Car Parade to celebrate the high street re-opening.
Roger said: “To make this something we can all be proud of, I’d like as many people as possible to send me interesting photos of Nelson.”
Nelson Art Car Parade is on August 20, 10.30am to 4pm, and features a town crier, street theatre, music, poetry and exhibitions.
Email photos to nelson.monopoly@hotmail.co.uk or upload to the Facebook page Nelson Monopoly Parade by August 12.
A name and the title of the photo is needed.
