A MAN who armed himself with an iron bar in Oswaldtwistle town centre has been jailed.
Blackburn magistrate heard a police officer had already stopped at the scene and the man wielding the bar said he had armed himself because another man had been chasing him round with a knife.
Scott Walker, 23, of Carlinghurst Road, Blackburn, was convicted of using threatening behaviour in Union Road and harassing Kathryn McDowell.
He was in breach of a suspended prison sentence and he was jailed for 16 weeks.
