A 43-year-old man has appeared in court following a collision in Union Road, Oswaldtwistle involving a stolen BMW.
James Jools, of Bishop Street, Accrington, is charged with burglary at a house in Russell Street and theft of the BMW, car keys and a wallet, together worth £9,015.
He is also charged with taking the car without consent, aggravated by injury caused to Dianne Kennedy and damage to the BMW and her Toyota Yaris; driving while disqualified; failing to stop after the accident in Union Road; driving without insurance and other than in accordance with a licence.
Ms Kennedy, 30, broke a leg in the incident.
Blackburn magistrates directed the case be heard at crown court.
Jools was remanded in custody.
