TEN firefighters who rescued a family whose home had been firebombed have been commended for their bravery.
Abdullah Mohammed and his wife Ayesha were killed in the incident in London Road, Blackburn, in October 2009.
Their children Siddiqah and Mohammed survived.
Among those commended were watch manager Christopher Fogarty, of Preston, crew manager David Hilliard, of Blackburn, firefighter Gordon Mitchell, of Blackburn, firefighter Gary Larter, of Barnoldswick, firefighter Peter Turner, of Blackburn, firefighter Paul McHugh, of Darwen, firefighter Charlene Winchester, of Burnley and firefighter Shahbaz Shah, of Nelson.
