A DEAL has been signed to bring a Burnley hard rock band’s latest offering to the masses.
New label Rocksector Records have pledged to take the profile of Exit State to the next level, following the release of ‘Black Veins’ at the start of October.
And in a double bonus for the East Lancashire five-piece, they have also been signed to appear alongside original Kiss lead guitarist Ace Frehley at a prestigious music festival in North Wales.
The announcements cap off a tumultous two years for the Burnley outfit, which is fronted by Roy Bright, half-brother of former Crystal Palace and Sheffield Wednesday footballer Mark Bright.
A Rocksector spokesman said: “The new album will benefit from extensive touring during September and October, plus a new video will be filmed early in August, ready for broadcast by September.”
Previously the band was signed to Halifax-based King Prawn Records and had only enlisted Rocksector for management duties.
Earlier this summer the quintet impressed at the Hard Rock Ibiza festival, earning them a slot at Hard Rock Hell V, which takes place in Prestatyn in December.
Support slots for the likes of ex-AC/DC singer Dave Evans, Blaze Bayley and Marseille have cemented their reputation.
Away from the stage Roy is also forging a fledgling acting career, with an appearance in upcoming horror movie Creepsville.
Debut album ‘Death of a Rockstar’ earned Exit State a number of industry plaudits and the video ‘Lost Beyond Belief’ was a favourite with Kerrang TV.
Ex-Prodigy member Gizz Butt also took a turn in the lead guitarist’s spot for ‘All For You’, on the second album.
As a taster of the new effort, ‘Check Out The Crazy’, another track, is currently being streamed on the band’s website.
