A MAN has been charged in connection with an incident at an off-licence in which a shop assistant was stabbed.
A bottle of wine was stolen from the shop in Parkinson Street, Mill Hill, on Wednesday, July 13, at 6pm when a cashier was stabbed in the leg.
Joseph McNally, 28, of Roebuck Close, Blackburn has been charged with section 18 wounding, theft and possession of an offensive weapon.
He appeared before Blackburn magistrates yesterday and will be committed to Preston Crown Court at a later date.
